As my profile already mentions, I have a passion for album covers. They intrigue me - or rather their story does. This blog is my attempt to find information on album covers using different sources such as the internet and several books. Hopefully these sources will expand slowly but surely and I will be able to blog updates.
In case you know such a source (website, book, word of mouth, whatever) or have an addition, please contribute.
My long-term plans are to create a wiki focusing on only album covers, which anyone would be able to contribute to. As right now I want to focus on researching covers one by one myself, I cannot afford spending time moderating a full-fledged wiki that no one might even use.
Music lovers, album cover lovers (if they even exist), art lovers...anyone out there. This is a wake-up call. I need people to make this a success.
Why call the blog 'skivomslag'? There are several reasons. First of all, all 'original' names containing the word cover were taken. Secondly, I wanted something eye-catching rather than 'yet another version of' some kind of blogname. Thirdly, one of my first books on album covers is in Danish and it is called exactly that - 'Skivomslag'.
I know. It is still far fetched.
